Pitch black pour with a light brown head. Brandy hits the nose right away with chocolate, nutmeg and light vanilla. Body is dry, boozy, thin, and just dies out through the sip, undercuts the taste. And so the taste has big nutmeg and dry cocoa with boozy brandy, chocolate malt and a whisper of cream. Just doesn't come together as expected, but isn't awful

Black with a dense, brown head with good retention and highlights, this looks solid. The nose is a really nicely integrated sweet stout, barrel and spices. Creamy milk chocolate, sweet with a really nicely soft nutmeg note, mildly earthy and floral, along with a rich Brandy note. The palate is where the Brandy comes to the forefront, with a rich , sweet, grape flavor that works nicely with the nutmeg to give a little bit of a concord grape like flavor. Creamy milk chocolate follows on the mid palate with a little coffee. Cocoa on the finish with a blend of sweetness and nutmeg. The sweetness is a light caramel lighr caramel like sweetness A little thin, a little over carbonated, this beer is quite good.
