fabulous brew here, a blended mixed fermentation barrel aged wild ale done with nectarines and peaches, breakside kills it with this funky stuff and it was a rare treat to find this one on tap. rust orange in color and very fizzy even though not much head collects on top. it smells tart and bretty at the same time, lactic and citrus forward, but with fuzzy peach right there too, natural and ripe, mouthwatering but not overly acidic, tannic and woody, juicy and sweet, with an apricot and an orange element as well, excited to taste! the flavor here is killer, mature but bright, super peach forward which is awesome, natural but intense here, not overly sour but the pucker is clean, its the funkiness and a neat saison type ester that make this interesting, the fermentation profile is just awesome and it makes this complex but also kind of light. the fruit is super fresh and real but the beer is dry overall, very bubbly despite the lack of head, light bodied, but the peach flavor left on my tongue at the end is just incredible. breakside never lets me down and this is among their best recent brews in my opinion, very compelling fermentation profile and use of fruit. yum!
