Can from the source. I had this at BFNA and had to give it a proper revisit.
Jet black with a dense, brown head with good retention and lacing. The nose is classic Breakside barrel aged stout - roasty, licorice, lovely barrel character with vanilla, pleasant bourbon and mild soy like oxidation. Maple is present and tastefully done, with mild sweetness that complements the barrel. Notes of fruity coffee as well. The palate opens bitter and roasty but also creamy, with a great grain and barrel character. Maple, coffee, toast, mild soy, an underlying dark brown sugar sweetness are present. Mildly bitter with bourbon and maple lingering on the finish. Excellent stuff.
