Stamp on the bottom includes “Strata” and “Idaho 7,” as much as I can read of it.

Pours a clear amber with long-lasting foam in the Belle-Vue Gueuze glass. Moderately bitter but more drinkable than some Pilsners and IPAs I’ve encountered lately. A distinct aroma that is more herbal and makes me think of alfalfa with notes of straw. Taste is slightly mellow with some malt but mostly a resiny hop taste. Some acidity and a mineral finish. Bitter aftertaste but not tongue-grabbing. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station.

Fresh/Wet Hop

Strange flavor, with an herbal, spicy element that almost predominates. It’s full of chives and even oregano (did I just write that), with grassy , green notes complementary to a profile that also includes citrus and tropicality.

It’s an interesting ride, with a great deal of complexity, well worth taking. One of the more unique IPAs I’ve had.

16oz can (canned 8/29/2022) into a tulip. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a quickly diminishing white head and not much lacing.

Aroma is bright tropical citrus all the way. I haven’t looked at what went into this beer, but if I had to guess I’d say probably Simcoe, Citra, and Centennial. I’ll admit I could be totally wrong though.

Taste is likewise a big punch of citrus and fruit, with a nice dry grainy pale malt backbone. Sharply bitter finish, classic West Coast style.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, finishes pretty dry. Thirst quenching.

Overall a really nice, welcome introduction to fresh hop season 2022.
