Look: Medium yellow and cloudy on the pour which initiates a lofty white head that builds and settles to a lid, leaving a ring of lacing behind
Aroma: Juicy peach, passionfruit, freshly cut grass, papaya, sugar-dusted strawberries, a little melon, gooseberries, and warm bread
Taste: Kicks off with a note reminiscent of wet/fresh cut plants and grass that is quickly followed and overcome by boatloads of juicy and fresh tropical fruit. Mixed berries take their turn in the spotlight next and slowly the grassy and tropical fruit returns to the mix on the close
Mouthfeel: Full, medium-high carbonation, and very lightly dry on the finish
Overall: This is some tasty stuff. This is only my second dance with Luminosa hops and I’ve never had the base beer (Rainbows & Unicorns) either so a lot new to me here and it’s all winning. Tons of tropical fruit and berry notes to me along with the fresh hop wet, cut grass and plant notes I hope for. A fun and delicious addition to the renowned Breakside fresh hop beer lineup. 2023 can with fresh Luminosa.
Mostly clear light orange with a dense white head with good retention and lacing. The nose is bright and popping, fruity, lemony, lime- like with kiwi, berries and light straw. The palate opens clean and pungent with a nice, big, FH pop. Berries, kiwi, light citrus. Drying, clean, bitter finish, refreshing and bright. A rich, oily fullness from the fresh hops are noticeable.
