From the Breakside Brewing website:
We brewed this West Coast IPA with our new buds from Ghost Town Brewing in Oakland:
Justin, Jason, Jamison, Johannes, Jurgen, Juan, Jose, Juan Pablo, and Jerry. Just joshin’.
But seriously, all of their names started with J and they are serious hop lovers, and it was a no-brainer to combine some of our approaches to making IPA with theirs. We leaned heavy on their preference for Pilsner malt, minimal kettle hopping, and their love of the yet-unnamed hop HBC 586. We brought to the table our preferred lots of Cashmere and Simcoe, as well as our predilection for using small charges of Southern Hemisphere hops in the whirlpool and dry hop. Our approach of layering dry hops adds to the mellifluous and broad flavor profile in this beer: expect notes of dried apricot, lime, strawberry. Hawaiian punch, and pineapple whip with a soft, just-so bitterness in the finish. This is modern West Coast IPA in rare form– you’ll find no Citra nor Mosaic here — but we promise that the Ghost Town and Breakside crews brought their J-game…we mean A-game, to this expressive and aromatic banger.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Dark golden pour with a little cloudiness, thina white foamy head. Light fruity aroma, muted maltiness. taste bursts with some nce gentle fruit punch notes, sweet, fruity, juicy. Smoooth and oh so tasty.
