When you taste this, you feel like you are sitting at the brewery.
I wonder if they changed the recipe in ‘25 because this is not an 83 on Ba
Great beer. Easy drinkin westy!

This beer pours a clear orange amber color with a nice white head that is quite billowy. Aroma is citrus and slightly sweet. Taste is strong citrus with a slight bitterness and a smooth finish. BOD 3-26-2024. rated 4-25-2024

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Bright golden pour, fizzy head, active carbonation. Fruity aroma, caramel, melon. Taste is the same, sweet caramel malts with fruity notes poured over top, tropical. Can is from March, so I sense it's fallen off a bit based on the look. Abrupt finish.

easy drinking for being so bold, somewhat restrained bitterness i suppose, overall an extremely well refined west coast ipa thats light on the grain side, fresh as can be on draft where i had it, and with a really nice modern hop complexion, excellent beer as always from breakside. bright golden color, pushing brass, the deeper side of gold anyway with awesome clarity and shine and a low inch of airy pure white head all frothed up and lasting, looks great. aroma here is pineapple, key lime, ripe melon of all kinds, and green grapes, its summery right off the hops, has some grassy back end bitterness yeah, but stays fruity and easy to me. some definite toasted character to the grain, short of nutty but pretty sturdy, off dry. this is done with mosaic, cashmere, and nectaron, and the contribution of each is evident, mosaic with the pineapple, less catty in this instance which is cool, and some general tropical fruitiness, definite peach vibes from the nectaron, orange melon too, and to me coconut and lemon candy from the cashmere, and there is some grain sweetness riding through to accentuate a lot of that, well balanced. the back end is full of minerality, body, and middle of the road bitterness for the style. the freshness really stands out, i dont mind the sweetness, and carbonation is nice and high here so it stays pretty drinkable. we loved it with buffalo cauliflower wings, but i could see this working in a ton of food contexts with this level of flavor. breakside is a consistent top performer, really dug this, could have had five of them...

Canned 3/25/24. Pour is a clean, clear golden amber. Head is thin and vanishes almost immediately. Lacing is likewise thin. Aroma is fruity, like a melon or fig, with some earthiness / dankness. Given that Breakside says this is a highly hopped ale with lots of brand-named varieties, we should expect hops and you do get that. Taste is hoppy, right in the WCIPA stlye - in a positive sense. The hop flavor dominates the tongue and lasts through a long finish with just a nod to the malt content. Carbonation is low for the style.
A 7% ABV makes this quite drinkable. Unsure from Breakside's web site if this is a new rotator or a one-off.

L - another Breakside crystal-clear WCIPA - proper CO2 bubbling, not a huge head (so points deduction) but a wonderful color; keeps bubbling for minutes and minutes...
S - melon, blueberries, dankness, dry grass, wonderful.
T - all that the aroma offers, wiht some crispy- dry bitterness on front and back end. Just a classic WCIPA. A little twist of new hop tropicality without going all weird and mango/coconut on us.
F - Love the balance, dryness, and the end of sip drop-off-a-cliff bitterness. Fab stuff here. Breakside rarely screws up an IPA and this one is another one getting.
O - another great, recent, WCIPA find - well done Breakside. This one is just an overall winner for me.
