First had: on tap at their brewpub
Their site lists this as an alias for the "Strong NW Saison" which is how it was listed on the board when I visited.
Poured a mahogany brown with a patchy white head that left some equally patchy lacing on the glass. Light spice and a bit of booze on the nose. Lots of spice in the taste, surprising almost, as it was much more than I got in the aroma. Otherwise yeasty, with a strong hop profile, and quite a punch from the alcohol. Medium body, and quite good overall. Good enough for the wife to want a refill, if I remember correctly.

This was descibed as a "big" Belgian Ale. I was curious how big a Saison could be. The answer- dry hops and high alcohol. I'm listing it as an Belgian IPA, because the hops are tongue-bucklingly potent. The Saison character is still noticeable, with a spicy nose (clove, nutmeg) and peppery taste mixing with he hops. If you wanted to argue that this is a dry-hopped Saison, sure, just don't expect the farmworkers to return to work after this. A hybrid beer.
