Look: Medium orange and slightly hazy on the pour, which jump starts a nice head that forms, holds, and slowly settles to a pillow, leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: I could smell it on the pour. Orange creamsicle, freshly cut Cara cara orange, lemons, floral notes, pink grapefruit, some cut grass, and mixed cane berries
Taste: Opens up with a quick hit of pungent and sharp lemon-lime and as that subsides, a punch of fresh hop cones comes and hits the tongue hard. Grapefruit, orange, and freshly cut grass come next as honeysuckle-dominant floral notes and mixed berries make their presence known as well. Closes with a nice, citrusy, and floral bite and lovely hop burps
Mouthfeel: Full, slick, medium-high carbonation, and dry on the finish
Overall: Yep, another winner and keep ‘em coming Breakside! I had my doubts on fresh Crystal hops being as good in an IPA as other varieties but 1. These folks rule at making freshies and 2. I like Buoy’s IPA a lot and it has Crystal in it so dove in and was again rewarded with this treat. Nice citrus, floral, and berry notes throughout, plus plenty of fresh hop character and the awesome fresh hop burps that follow seal the deal for me. Recommended

Canned 9/12. Pour is a faintly hazy light amber with a thick, frothy head. Definite floral aroma with a bit of pine. Hop presence up front but not harsh. Flavors of stone fruit with a mango background. Getting a layer of malt as well, which softens the taste. Finish is clean. Overall feel is quite enjoyable. One of the better FH IPAs so far this season.
