First had: on tap at their brewpub
CCStout had your typical appearance of an average stout: dark brown-black, nearly opaque, with a small cap of tan head. Aroma was pretty coffee-dominant, with a good amount of roastiness. Taste followed the nose pretty much in that it was coffee-forward, pretty smooth, not too bitter, with a dark malt roastiness giving a pretty dry finish; pretty much nothing to speak of in terms of hops, as would be expected. A little light in the mouth for a stout, coming in about medium-bodied. A good drink overall, no surprises.
