Look: Medium orange and hazy with a pillowy head that quickly builds and retains nicely, puckering to leave great lacing clung to the glass
Aroma: Pink and ruby-red grapefruit, sticky pine sap, Cara cara orange, blackcap raspberries, light melon, fruity Cannabis, and papaya
Taste: Opens up with a strong hit of pithy and sharp grapefruit and ripe orange that quickly blend after hitting on their own initially. Melon and black raspberry comes to join and resinous pine mixes in too with notes of crushed needles and sap. Tropical fruit and Cannabis round it out and these all mingle before closing with a light, but nice, bite
Mouthfeel: Full, soft, lightly slick, medium-high carbonation, and smooth and soft on the finish
Overall: This is some tasty stuff. I rarely see fresh hop Mosaic beers, plus have never tried the fresh hop version of What Rough Beast so jumped at this when I spotted it. It’s good and showcases the Mosaic nicely, plus it has good fresh hop character for a hazy, which isn’t always what I find. All in all, chalk this up as another winner from these fresh hop wizards.
