Clear amber brew with long-lasting foam in the Leute footless glass. Powerful citrus aroma. Sharp and spritzy on the tongue. Taste is just slightly sweet with little malt flavor. Fruity hops with flavors of lemon-lime, orange, and orange rind. Moderate bitterness with the orange lingering long into the aftertaste. Kind of thin and bitter after some sipping. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea Brewing. Dated 12/31/25.

Many thx to muchloveforhops3 for the can!

A - Medium orange gold pour with dense lacing and light but steady carbonation.

S - Pineapple, citrus, and light orange aroma.

T - Sweet grapefruit, orange, pineapple, a slight bit of citrus rind, and ends with just the right amount of citrus bitterness.

M - Big medium body with lots of sprightly carbonation on the tongue.

O - This is a rock-solid IPA!

WCIPA all the way! Floral-forward hop profile. It’s bright and zippy, with hints of pineapple and white wine grape in the back. Low bitterness, clean finish. It’s a good one.

It's a fine beer, but nothing otherworldly. Not as good as the standard B'side IPA either, maybe I just don't respond to the use of the Tangier hop (?).

Delicious aroma and flavors of pineapply ripe tropical fruit make this west coaster a must drink brew. The sweet floral nose is dominant up front, setting the stage for a ripe mouthful.

Draft at The Handlebar. Hazy yellow pour, scant head. Light aroma of tropical fruit with notes of citrus. Citrus zest picks up in the taste, grapefruit. Kind of dry.

Collab with North Park Beer Co. Light yellow/amber pour, clean and clear. Frothy head with a welcome degree of retention. Nose gives up a fruity aroma, pineapple and mango. First sip is rewarded with more fruit, lots of carbonation, plenty of hop bitterness and nicely dry. Long-ish finish. ABV a moderate 7%. A good take on the WCIPA.

16-ounce can purchased at John's Marketplace in Beaverton, OR. Date stamp reads "CANNED 12/04/25". Enjoyed in a nonic half-pint glass.

Breakside plus North Park is an IPA dream team for me, and this lively and zesty beer is very nearly worthy of the pairing.

Look:
The bright yellow body is capped with a head of snowy white foam that disappears quickly but leaves copious lacing.

Smell:
The nose is full of melon (honeydew, a little cantaloupe) and stone fruits that lean tropical. There's also some spicy pine and citrus (mostly lime zest and orange juice).

Taste:
The flavor is largely the same, leading with orange that's supported by pineapple gummi bears and lime curd. There's decent bitterness on the back end. A fleeting lemon-lime note leads into a finish of orange peel and apricot-pineapple preserves. Underneath there's an intriguing cross between pine resin and some aromatic wood.

Feel:
The light, lean body has vigorous carbonation and a crisp, tangy bite.

Overall:
It's very well made and plenty tasty, and I'd be happy to drink it again. That said, I've had better IPAs from Breakside this year, so FUturism doesn't quite reach the heights I'd hoped for from a Breakside + North Park collaboration. Maybe the draft version will get this beer over the line for me.
