Imperial pint on draught at Bailey's, appearance is chestnut brown, with a small light tan skim leaving light foamy lace.
Smell is malty, toffee and caramel. A little orange marmalade as it opens.
Taste is at first malty, almost a hint of chocolate, but not particularly sweet, pumpernickel bread in fact. Abruptly transitions to a mineral zest and moderately strong, lingering bitterness.
Mouthfeel is dry, slightly crisp carbonation, medium bodied.
Drinkability is pretty good, a solid Kellerbier. Perhaps a bit bitter for the style, although I admit it's it's not one I often partake.

Served on tap into an imperial pint glass
A- Poured a very dark and hazy amber/red color with forthy off-white head that left splashy lace
S- Some big bready, mineral, and floral notes in the aroma
T- Big bready, toasted malt, floral, and mineral presence. Subtle floral and citrus hop notes. Some fruitiness. Very balanced and great flavor profile for an easy drinking unfiltered lager.
M- Very creamy and smooth, soft and prickly carbonation, very refreshing. Perfect mouthfeel for the style.
O- Absolutely top notch beer for the style with a darker color and malt profile than others in the same style. Really nice touch with the very subtle hop notes.
