Cool place in downtown South Bend, great staff, nice selection of beers that goes beyond IPA’s (including a shandy, smoked porter, cream ale, amber ale, and a milk stout). Just a good vibe and some nice beers.

My wife and I stopped here while on a mini pub crawl to try their beers. The place is located in a downtown storefront setting, and outdoor seating too up a fair amount of the wide sidewalk at the front of the building. The inside was arranged like a neighborhood bar, but was a bit smaller than I was expecting. The L-shaped bar was just inside the entrance, and had 10-12 stools. The dining area probably had tables/chairs for around 50 people. We sat at the bar and had good service and chat. Being like a neighborhood bar setting, I liked the vibe.
We ordered only 4 beers on our flight (13 were available), and found them all to be very well brewed to their respective style. None were considered exceptional, but we gave an overall score of 3.81 (out of 5) to them. There is also limited wine and spirits available for those patrons who don't like beers. A guest offerings included a cider in a can, a GF beer and a hard root beer in bottles.
We didn't order any food, nor did we look at the menu, so no comments can be added on that topic. It was a good visit with good beer, and is recommended for a visit if you are in the area.

Its a tiny place in the downtown area of South Bend. Cluttered décor of old pics and relics. There was plenty of different beers to choose from and ranged from really good to "ok". The service was fine and attentive.

Everything that was good about Brew Werks is even better since there has been new ownership. Beer, food and service is so much better and consistent!

Great community brew pub with local focus on supporting non-profits. Absolutely proud to have a place like this in SB, and the local food is great.
