1000ml bottle 4,0% Abv.
Served chilled in an over sized wine glass.
Best Before: 29/06/2013
Appearance: Emperor IPA pours a clear golden-amber, with a rough pour yielding a good sized white head. Sadly the head fizzes away far too quickly for an IPA and doesn't leave anything in the way of lacing.
Smell: Hmmm, I seem to have misread the label, as this doesn't smell anything like any IPA I have ever had. Nope, there it is - Emperor IPA...
There is some biscuity malt and a little fruitiness and that is about it.
Taste: As with the nose, the flavour bares virtually no resemblance to an IPA. There is no bitterness to speak of and flavour notes consist of: A light fruit character, an odd musty note and some biscuity malt.
Mouthfeel: Light body with a medium-high level of carbonation.
Overall: This is NOT and IPA.
