Since I am the first reviewer, I will try to translate from Dutch the way it is made mentioned in the booklet that comes with the beer: wild yeast, lactobacillus, aging on grapes and port barrels
Almost no foam when pouring, just a small rim, body is dark brown with ruby highlights, rather clear though there was yeast in the bottle.
Clearly port aromas, some funk, oak
white wine tartness and flavor, oak, port flavors not as present as in the aroma, lingering tartness
medium body, almost no carbonation
Hmmm, I am a bit disappointed because I usually love the sour beers of this brewery and this one is only so so. I don't think that the port barrels were a good idea. It is like a cocktail of fresh white wine with vintage port. Not a good combination. Though, excellent craftsmanship as usual, but not a good recipe.
