I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured an opaque dark with thin off white head that is leaving a spotty. The scent had hints of citrus peel. The taste was nicely balanced and easy with roast to start followed by citrus bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer.

On tap at the brewery and listed as 7.1% ABV. This "American Black Ale" could be called a Black IPA.
Flavor is hoppy with dark roasted grains and a bit of char. Aroma corresponds to the flavor but is a shade less pleasant.
Medium-full body with light carbonation. Smooth.
