Draft offering at aardwolf. The brew appears a clear copper color, very polished looking with a thin off-white film for a head that fades leaving faint spots of lace. A swirl hardly brings back a cap but what resides is a penline of bubbles around the perimeter.
The aroma includes notes of oranges and caramel malt. Overall it leaves you feeling like you are smelling a sort of orange liquor that is heavy on the syrup. Not bad smelling, just very sweet like candy moreso than maltiness.
The taste is just about ad sweet as you can imagine based off the nose alone. It is like caramel candies with a slight kiss of alcohol across the back and a mild indication of herbal to fruity hops.
If you have a sweet tooth, you will love this beer. It is medium to fuller bodied almost feeling creamy at times and lightly carbonated. Stylistically it isnt bad at all. Being a fan of old ales, i was really looking forward to this one and it delivered but I could not see myself drinking more than 6oz of this at a time.

Appearance - Still cola, and frothy almond head, spotty, disappearing lace.
Aroma - Malty, sweet apple juice.
Taste - Same as aroma, with the addition of subtle oak, and sweet alcohol burn.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, low carbonation.
Overall - Very simple, sweet, warming beer. A bourbon barrel age could do wonders for this one.
