On tap, fresh.
Ap - Dark as night, slightly cloudy. Thick, full, khaki head that slowly recedes to a ring and film on top. Spotty lacing.
Ar - Fresh roasted coffee, (extra) dark chocolate
T - Follows the aroma. It tastes like coffee and 70+% dark chocolate. As it opens opens up, a sort of raisinette taste comes through.
M - Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, slight bitterness. Probably coming from the hop forward base beer and added coffee.
O - A huge step up from the base beer. I would like to see where this would be in a big scale with maybe bourbon or brandy barrels thrown in the mix. Very tasty!
