A winter warmer that was conditioned on vanilla, orange peel, cinnamon, and black currants.
The appearance is a deep mahogany, almost brown, with a blood red hue that comes through the edges. The head is a lighter khaki color that stays around the whole time. The aroma is noticeable citrus, raisin (currants), vanilla on the back end, with a toffee/burnt sugar character following up. The taste is similar, but the citrus peel and the currant aren't as prevalent. The burnt sugar, and vanilla (sounds like a creme brûlée) come through more. The cinnamon gives an almost drying aspect while still showcasing a hint of spice. The mouthfeel is a touch thinner than what the flavor would suggest. The carbonation is on the lighter side. This is great!
