Bomber at home with Lisa. Really good caramel rolo notes, not too sweet. Almost butterscotch, but in a good way. Some tannins on the finish to balance sweetness. Really good!

22 ounce bottle, no date observed. Not sure when their 5th anniversary was but assumed it was bottled around then. Pours a dingy brown, little head to speak of except for a small ring of soapiness around the inside.
The nose...I can tell right away it’s going to be sweet. Maybe some toffee and caramel too. Chocolate covered raisins also.
First sips reveal something special. Caramel sweetness, raisins, definitely some chocolate in there, a bit of smoke and/or peat. Cherry and grape as it warms. Boozy yet incredibly smooth for the high abv. I don’t get a lot of barrel or scotch.
Slick and smooth, just a little bit of burn.
Great beer

Dark brown and fairly clear body. Head retention is solid.
On the nose, it's sweet and boozy, hinting strongly of brown sugar and whisky. The palate follows, with an English Barleywine or Old Ale feel to the strong caramel malt profile. Hops are restrained, adding balance without significant flavor. The whisky profile is remarkably smooth.
Definitely a sipper, but for the sky-high ABV, this is dangerously drinkable.
This is a surprisingly smooth and overall damn good beer. I'm very impressed!
