Very small head, but not expected given the style, over a year in barrels, and the age (~2 years).
Nose features quite a bit of whiskey, but no harshness. Vanilla and chocolate swirl behind. Not much of a coffee note, but it does smell similar to the eponymous cocktail.
As another reviewer mentioned, fairly low carbonation, although there is still a bit of bite. It helps to emulate the drink, which it really does quite well. The spiciness you may associate with rye whiskey is restrained, although the age of the drink may be a factor. The vanilla really shines. Almost a cinnamon-like kiss on the finish. Additional tasting notes include toast, caramel, molasses, and chocolate.
Creamy and smooth. Mild bite. A touch boozy by modern imperial stout standards, but by no means is it harsh or unpalatable.
This is not the best in the White Russian series by Aardwolf, but it's still very, very good. A White Russian is my go-to cocktail, and while this doesn't perfectly evoke it - as others in the series do better - it's still much closer to the flavor profile than other breweries have managed.

Very low carbonation to White Russian - which I really like - with a sweet vanilla rye nose. It pours quite dark and thick. Taste is tremendously smooth with very light rye bite. Pleasant vanilla notes. Slightly creamy mouth feel, balanced nicely by the rye whiskey and barrel notes. Very easy drinking.
This was a bit of a sleeper - I came in with low expectations and thoroughly enjoyed the beer. Recommended.
