Minimal head. Beautiful dark black body, with a dark brown foamy ring.
Roast, banana, char, vanilla, brown sugar, molasses on the nose.
Sweet on the palate, with a note of artificial banana. Light char, blackstrap molasses, brown sugar, chocolate, red grape, vanilla.
Smooth and lively on the palate. A touch thin and sticky.
I can’t get past the weird banana note - not the same yeasty banana note as in many imperial stouts, but more like the vanilla just isn’t quite working.
