Good head production and retention for the style. Apple brandy is obvious on the nose, bourbon and vanilla less so, but they're there if you go looking for them. Notes from the malt base include chocolate, molasses, brown sugar, toast, and espresso.

Drinks even smoother than it smells, with chocolate, banana, and vanilla up front, before the apple brandy influence comes through, slightly sharp and ever so sour. Plenty of roast and toast on the back half, leading to a nutty finish. The bourbon isn't particularly noticeable, and the vanilla makes little more than a brief appearance.

Big bodied yet easy to drink.

This isn't Aardwolf's best barrel aged creation, but it's very good regardless.
