Mixed culture foeder-aged ale with peaches; collaboration with Resident Culture Brewing Company.
This rustic ale has been inoculated with a blend of Aardwolf and Resident Culture house funk. Aged for 8 months in an oak foeder before having a forbidden kiss of peaches added. The end result is a complex, medium bodied, and slightly acidic ale with a hint of sweetness and a sour peach skin finish.

Decent head production for a foeder-aged sour, and reasonable retention. After settling, a thin ring of foam lines the glass, with a faint reminder atop the brew. Body is a vibrant gold color, and while it appears a touch hazy, close inspection reveals that it is almost perfectly transparent.
Unsurprisingly, features a sharp, tart, and fruity nose. Peaches are evident, as is a vinegar-like sour and citric-like tartness. Honey and floral notes round out the profile, all wrapped in a musty oak envelope.
Everything advertised is present on the palate: at once both sour and sweet, fruity and oaky. Thicker bodied than most sours/wild ales at this ABV, which is a little surprising. Plenty of peach up front, dancing with a variety of funky and sour notes. A touch pungent and earthy at first, yielding to more of a vinegar-like sour. Peach and peach skin lingers throughout the sip, along with a bit of residual sweetness. The musty oakiness never quite fades, either, until the very finish, which is quite peachy while retaining a puckering sourness. Flowers and grassy herbs, a bit of cracker, and agave nectar.
