Pours black with a dense, compact tan head. The rye whiskey is forward on the nose, yet the aroma isn’t boozy. How is that possible? There’s also chocolate aromas and some hints of the peppers.
The taste eliminates the hint of peppers, though - they are present, loud and proud, and complement the rye whiskey, and also the chocolate flavors. The mouthfeel is as rich as a double chocolate chip cookie, which I expect from an imperial stout.
Aardwolf continues to impress. This is world-class, IMHO.
