Look- dark Amber to light brown
Smell- hops and citrus. Maybe light hints of malt. Not expected
Taste- more of the same. Heavy hops
Feel- medium bodied
Overall. Not good. Hoppy brown ale is the description and I was expecting a nice blend of sweet and hoppy but not even close. Just a Dark IPA

The first beer I ever had from Aardwolf - expecting just a standard brown but got a whole lot more. They have gone on to brew even more amazing beers, but it showed me the potential that this brewery had. Jax is luck to have them!

Dark brown with a light tan head. A hoppy aroma with some caramel and malt. Lots of hop flavor and a thick malty body. Finishes balanced and bitter, very good.

Single finger head on a deep, murky brown body with scattered lacing. Aroma is fairly sweet with sweet syrup, burnt caramel, toasted malts, dark breads, hint of orange citrus and some brown sugar. Flavor follows with a roasted and toasted caramel malt dominating presence up front which moves to earthy hops finishing with mildly tart citrus and sweet brown sugar finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I like the complexity. It's uncommon to have beers which just well defined transition between flavors. I want a little but stronger hop presence for an India brown ale but regardless this is an excellent brew.
