La Cabra is among the very favorite of all the PA breweries and brewpubs the wife and I have explored from our home base in Philadelphia. Love the location, with the windows overlooking the train station. Great beers, mostly hazy IPA's, fantastic food, some of the best and most unique I've encountered in a brewpub... the only downfall is the lacking service. Several servers standing around in an empty place and I still had to wait and wait to order.

Ate lunch and had a few beers. I like the vibe and the decor - rustic and modern. Downstairs there is the main bar, and seating. Upstairs there is more seating and a second bar, but it wasn't open for lunch. nice lineup of beers, with diverse style variety. The beers I tried were good. The tacos we had were very good. The only complaint was the slow service. There was only one server and he was seemingly very lackadaisical even though the food orders backed up at the kitchen window and we had empty beers waiting to order the next round.

Very spacious and family friendly place with nice and friendly staff. The beers are made on the premises. Their IPAs are amazing while the other beers were of variable quality, from OK to not so great. Great food and very generous portions.

I've heard of this place but never had the opportunity to stop by. We were in the Philly area for Beer Week at a very reputable and respected beer bar who recommended them so we took them up on the recommendation and was not disappointed!

We went directly to the 2nd floor which was incredible. A sky-light in the middle of the room, couches, darts, and a modern rustic vibe. They were able to take an old building, preserve it, and introduce a contemporary vibe that really works. We had the Charred Octopus and it was spectacular (aka - friggin' good). 'Had their Atlas D-IPA and it was solid, we wanted to try more but had an hour drive home and had to be responsible.

A recommended stop on the Northwest side of Philly.

Very enjoyable brewery and eatery that opened in Fall 2017. Nice selection of 10-12 beers on tap including to from cask. Lagers/Kolsch predominate and are very well crafted. Food is excellent. Very much worth visiting.

The setup inside is beautiful. Really modern and hip and blends nicely behind what looks like a very small storefront on a Main Street kind of setup. Of the seven beers I had, nothing blew me away, but all were good, and the food menu is quite nice to look at. I got the Cubano sandwich, which was just okay, but everything else looks promising.

Had the opportunity to visit this place on a Saturday late afternoon (around 5). I was surprised to find it very busy at this hour. Parking is tight.

Food was terrific. The burger was absolutely amazing...all fresh ingredients, flavored very well. Even the veggie burger was unlike those typical frozen patties you find at other places. The Surf and Earth salad was also very much to our liking.

Service was also very attentive...despite us pushing into the peak hours of the evening while people were gathering at the hostess stand. No rush.

We enjoyed the beers as well...each of us got the sampler to test all (or most of their offerings). Bantlers (weizenbock) by far was the table's first choice. (we took a Crowler home with us.). I believe Tired Hands (up the road a few miles) now has a worthy competitor on the beer front.

We're looking forward to going back again. (My guess is...once the word gets out...this will be a tough place to get into on peak nights.)

Nothing like breaking in a new brewery on day one of business. La Cabra has been known to some of us more "underground" locals for several years now, as the owner's homebrews have been slowly and randomly trickling out, showing up at random bottles shares and whatnot. But now the beer has an official home. First off, the location is great, right across from the train station, and adjacent to a record store. There are two levels to the pub, the first having the main bar, and ample seating, and the upstairs having a second bar along with a spacious area equipped with dartboards and a fireplace with sofas. It's really looking nice.

All the beer is solid thus far, and they're making a wide range of styles. 14 taps, including a nitro line, and in addition to that, two cask offerings. Sampler flights and various pour size options...always a plus in my book. And they have a crowler filler! It'll be interesting to see if they're going to continue to bottle stuff, maybe on a small batch basis. And there's not just beer here...local cider and wine is also available. The service was fine, which you would hope for on day one especially, and all the bartenders seemed to be well-educated in the drinks they were serving. The food menu, I haven't sampled yet, but everything looks great. It's mostly as they say "Latin-inspired gastropub fare," so there are tacos, and lots of things with Mexican ingredients and sauces. Prices seem on par all around.

This place is quickly going to turn into a must-visit beer destination for the area. I look forward to watching their progress.
