I still recommend not venturing into IPA territory here unless you have exhausted the Belgians and sours. But, if you are an IPA connoisseur or it is just your favorite style then give this a try. It is the best of their IPAs.

Nice malt backbone. Fruity and balanced bitterness. Great lacing. Available in bottles and draft.

On tap at the brewery, $6 for a pint.

Clear elixir, interesting looking marmalade-burnt umber color, with a white, fluffy head and rings of thick lacing.

Tropical fruits balanced by a nice resin/pine aroma.

The taste is fresh fruit of the citrus variety with the pine coming in at the end creating a wonderful amalgam of hop flavors.

Medium body, nicely carbonated, refreshing.

This is a really nice IPA that checks off the requisite aroma (citrus/pine, minimal malt) and flavor (fresh fruit balanced with crisp pine) to create an easy drinking, go to for hopheads.

These guys nailed it. Excellent IPA. Tropical citrus dominate. Perfectly balanced bitternes. For my tastes it doesn't get much better. Fyi-they canned this beer. I stocked up! Not sure if they bottle it consistently.

First beer I have had from The BottleHouse...I was surprised at how strong of an offering this is. I look forward to trying more.

Very well balanced IPA. Seems like a Fuller's based on color and malt flavor. Obvious American hop profile, especially on the nose. The California ale yeast adds a touch of sweetness and nuttiness to the beer. Great lacing all down the glass. Really unique and well done. Stands out from the hop bombs that are typical of the style.

Awesome. That's the reaction I had upon opening a bomber of Erie Coast IPA. It greatly exceeds my expectations for an AIPA.

When I first opened it I was greeted with a sublime aroma. A perfect hoppy blend of aromatic hops. The taste is a tamer, maltier, more balanced AIPA than most. Instead of constantly screaming hops it is sweeter, yet still very hoppy. Man, am I looking forward to drinking all of this bomber.

The aftertaste is similarly excellent. A lingering effect that recalls some of those aromas that were less present in the taste. Drinking this AIPA is a great experience. Thank you BottleHouse.

Updating my note as this is now available canned. From the first batch in that format, canned 9/8/15. I'm keeping my original comments, updates below with a dash and showing my original score where it's changed. This was poured from a 16oz can into a SN/DFH IPA glass, though I also enjoyed even more when I first tried it straight from the can
22oz bottle poured into a pint glass
A: Pure orange with a 1/2-finger head
-2+ finger head that slowly settles
S: Bold grapefruit & pine with a malt background
T: Much more malt than the nose along with herbs and a bit of bitterness but no other distinct hop notes (3.75)
-A nice blend of hops/malt showing burnt orange and a hint of tropical fruit along with toasted malt, herbs and a bit of caramel
M: Medium-bodied but full mouthfeel
O: A solid, run of the mill yet enjoyable IPA
-A solid, nicely balanced IPA, fantastic fresh and that, like Heady Topper, is actually a bit better when consumed straight from the can
~I see this is still dated 10/3/14; this update was written 9/14/15~

This beer is described a full bodied ipa an it is just that. This is not your typical west coast style IPA. Bartender said they dont use any citra which is not typical these days. Chinook and cascade aromas dominate. Lacing is very nice and the creamy head stays around. Looks like they have this beer available in 22oz bottles as well.
