A: Dark brown, almost pitch black with next to no head
S: Cocoa, roasted malt, some vanilla
T: Matches the nose though more malt and less vanilla

O: I can tell this would have been a bit better when younger though still a good porter and drinking fairly well aged

I had the bourbon barrel version of this beer. It was aged on blueberries and vanilla. Truly amazing. Chocolate, blueberries and vanilla meld with the character of the barrel perfectly.
