My son gave me this for Father's Day. Good boy. He lives a little more than a block away from Bottlehouse, on Washington. So this has been languishing, waiting for the right moment.
It says 2017 on the bottle, and that is was aged two years besides. It pours with almost no head but nice color (clear brown). The aroma is wild. Wine and soured malts are the main part of the smell, but you just want to keep sniffing. The taste is nothing like any olde ale I ever had. It's old olde ale. Tangy and tart, not at all bitter or dark tasting, as one would expect. The aftertaste is quite amazing. It evolves from the tart to a malty yeasty taste. Definitely worth the price of admission. I will be sipping this 500ml bottle and enjoying.
Recommended, but I doubt you'll ever find one. Thanks, Matt.
