I have had all of the BottleHouse's fruited sours and this one is quite unique. Purple in color, slight brett funk (i am sure it will increase with aged), fruity lactic aroma, the flavor is layered. Blueberries definately but also a layer of grape. Overall a solid sour and much more complex than a kettle sour.

500ml bottle purchased at the brewery for $11.99. Label reads: Wild Blueberry Ale aged in wine barrels for 1.5 yrs.
The opaque, purple liquid is poured into a DFH chalice yielding a fine grape-tinged foam rim. Scant islands of lace are scattered infrequently about the vessel.
Wonderful aroma of blueberries, grapes, wine-must, barrel and a balancing layer of brett funk.
Tart, fruit and funk all combined in a delicious wild ale. The finish is dry with a tinge of grape and barrel.
Light body, tangy, refreshing.
One of the best wild ales produced in Cleveland.
