Having this beer on-tap at the brewery, this beer draws a mostly clear, medium copper/amber color with a white head that’s about half an inch thick when first drawn and served. Settles quickly to a medium sized ring lining the inside of the glass. Not much lacing here unfortunately. Aromas of some bready malts with slight caramel sweetness, some brown sugar notes, and certainly cherry and a slight funkiness. The taste follows suit, with flavors of bready malts with slight caramel sweetness, some brown sugar notes, and certainly cherry and a slight barnyard musty funkiness. Good flavor profile overall. Has a pretty crisp, slightly prickly, yet also somewhat smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate to heavy carbonation. Easy to drink in the way good beer ought to be.
