This beer takes our sour golden base, matured in one barrel and presented unblended. The barrel used is our longest running sour barrel, in continuous use for over 5 years and first held our inaugural sour Vox Maris.

Having this beer on-tap at the Lakewood location of the brewery. Serves in a snifter glass, this beer draws a pretty clear dark gold/light copper color with a small white head that's about 1/4 inch thick when first drawn and served. Head settles eventually to a medium sized ring lining the inside of the glass. Not much lacing at all here though. Aromas of some bready malts along with tart, sour funk and oak notes with a bit of green apple. The taste is pretty much exactly the same, with bready malts along with tart, sour funk and oak notes with a bit of green apple along with just a slight hint of salt and vinegar. Really, quite a fantastic flavor profile all around here. Has slightly tingly, crisp and smooth, light to medium bodied mouth feel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish with a fairly dry aftertaste. The sour, funky, oak flavors hang around on my palate nicely after each sip.
