Recently found this. My new favorite beer. Serious character. Bold flavor, intensely enjoyable.

this was the pick of the lot in my opinion from my recent trip to the brewery. i liked most of their beers, loved the theme, but this one, as simple as it is, really stands out in terms of overall quality. it looks like most of the others really, super clear, bright khaki head on it, amber in color. it smells like rye malt for sure, but with a huge heaping portion of red malts in there, a new synergy is struck. the sweetness carries the intense rye flavor forward longer, and the rye sort of balances what would otherwise be a rather sweet base beer. cool cool malt flavor to this, great teamwork with the different grains. i love all the body too, its expansive and dense on the palate, not flat at all, but just really smooth and big. perfect sipper for the fall, just different enough to appeal to the beer geeks, but also approachable enough to be highly appealing to most general beer drinkers. maybe my favorite overall beer i have had from these guys, although i know they are going to put out some crazy new ones for GABF next week...

There is absolutely no bite after this beer. This is an excellent pale ale and at 6.3% it's a go to.
