Mesmerize DIPA from The North. Poured from growler into shaker pint. Beautiful super-hazy dark orange. Nose of honey, pine, citrus rind. Taste doesn't quite match. Dank citrus, nowhere the crispness I expected from the nose. Super-solid body. Under-carbed for my desires. Man, this hits so well on a few things, it ends up dashing my expectations because of the feel and overall taste profile. Very close to a great mix of piney dankness and citrus-honey sweetness, but doesn't quite get there. Glad to try it, would have again on occasion.

Poured into tulip; hazy dark orange with a moderate white head that fades into a nice cap of foam and leaves nice lacing.
Smells of pine, citrus, and a boozy sweetness over top of nutty malt.
Taste is pine and citrus, with a round sweetness and booziness over the malt.
Mouthfeel is thick and smooth for the style, but it's nice.
Overall it's a neat take on the style. The hop character is very unique. So if you'd like a flavorful DIPA with the mouthfeel of a barleywine, this one's for you. Tasty!
