A: very dark with no head, even with a very aggressive pour.
S: This beer is brewed with Belgian yeasts, i get slight banana, and lots of spice. very interesting
T: tastes like a stout brewed with Belgian yeasts. I get a spicy bite, a little bit of banana and clove. A little bit of a nutty flavor is also apparent, as well as a bit of alcohol burn, which is to be expected of a 9% beer. This beer really highlights the flavors imparted by the yeasts. The malt base is there, but it does a great job of allowing the Belgian yeast characteristics to shine through.
M: this in my mind is the least successful part of the beer. It has a very heavy mouth feel which i normally like in a stout. For some reason, i found the heavy mouth feel to be a bit overbearing.
O: quite a tasty beer, my favorite of the recent line of Belgian inspired beers at the North brewery
