Poured into a pint glass.
A: Super white fluffy head from a fairly non-aggressive poor that dissipates fairly slowly and leaves delicate lacing clinging to the glass. Color is a cloudy amber yellow with a darken core. Looks very inviting!
S: Citrus is a major component of the smell, reigning over the other delicate tones of the beverage. Hidden behind is a gentle earthly smell, hinting with sweetness and a slight berry scent, probably from the cranberry with which it is brewed.
T: Citrus folds into a gentle cranberry flavor, blending perfectly. The berry-citrus slowly fades into a bitterness that gains strength as the beverage is swallowed; the bitterness is well tolerated and adds a lovely component.
M: Very light and barely carbonated, however the carbonation begs your tongue for more. The bitterness at the end hides in the back of your mouth, also encouraging for more. I think for an IPA this is a good thing.
O: Overall, this is a great IPA, one that is delicate while still retaining a personality. Personally, the cranberry could play a larger role in the flavor but its interplay with the citrus hops is gorgeous. IPAs are not my strong suit, which is why I chose to try one for my first review! This little brewery never fails to make some good stuff and I’m excited to continue trying more.
