A: Pale golden yellow that is rather opaque when held up to the light. The head is almost nonexistent, possibly from a bad pour, but it is a very crisp white and bubbly, fighting to linger. Bubbles cling to the side and a gentle lacing can be seen sporadically around the glass.
S: The scent is very minimalistic for an IPA, especially as of North’s recents. The DIPA has mild citrus, possibly grapefruit, and flowery earthy tones. Smelling from the growler to get a bit more, the brew also has a spicy scent to it, possibly onion-y.
T: The flavor copies the scent in that it is rather mild. It has a lovely interplay of bittneress and hop flavor, that has a citrus and earthy taste. It’s very drinkable, fantastic for a summertime beverage.
M: The brew is light and refreshing, pairing strongly with its demure scent and flavor. The carbonation is incredibly minimalistic as well.
O: This brew is very gorgeous in its appearance. However, I feel it was weaker in its scent than necessary, which is something that is particularly enjoyed by myself. Taking it for what it is though, the beverage comes together lovely in how its demure approach follows through each component of the beverage, creating a great and refreshing brew. This is something that reflects a good summer drink and something I will enjoy.
