Bottle drank at The North Brewery in Endicott, NY.

This one pours a lighter black, with a creamy head, and a little bit of lacing.

Smells like sweet elegant maple, earthy roasted coffee, and a bit of chocolate syrup.

This has a really creamy and wonderful taste to it. It's got a very silky feel, with roasted coffee, creamy vanilla, sweet maple, just a hint of roast, and sweet syrupy chocolate. It doesn't punch you with the flavors exactly like you'd expect, it's more of a sweet caress then a maple smackdown. This is fine- it's more drinkable because of that fact.

This has a light, silky and almost fluffy mouthfeel, with a normal level of carbonation.

A very wonderful beer here, I wish I could've taken home bottles with me.

Almost black pour with shoe-leather brown at the edges. 3/4" head lasts awhile before reducing to a sixteenth which stays all the way down. Lacing is soapy and lasts where the glass was tilted, no rings though. Nose of subdued maple syrup, roasted malts, a bit of solvent. Nose becomes more maple and brown sugar with less roast as it warms. Taste has more bitter coffee than I got from the nose. Nice bitter coffee comes through along with the same subdued maple, and a noticeable dryness or snap that I'll attribute to hop content. Can't pick up any hop in the nose or the taste, but the snappy finish is either piney hops or a late domination of roasty dryness. Mouthfeel is light for a stout, quite smooth drinking, just when the maple almost makes it sweet, the dry-ish finish does away with the thought of sweetness. I really like this, if it had bigger coffee notes (they're there, but don't dominate) while still allowing the maple note to chime in like it does, this would be awesome. Still very good, I hope they brew it again.

The taste and aroma of the maple syrup is very present in this stout, along with a more subtle coffee note.

Pretty nice stout, but the maple syrup flavor did not seem to meld together as harmoniously with the other flavors as I would have liked.
