From a can labeled : "NEIPA Mosaic+Simcoe ALC. 45.5% BY VOL."
Huh? Two recent Instagram posts seem to indicate that it is the wheat pale ale that was entered here. Failure to edit , while making labels? Anyway.......
Hazy yellow, with one finger of long-lasting white head.
Smell is faint citrus mix, plus biscuit dough and toasty bread crust.
Initial taste is similar to lemon/lime seltzer, but better (Because it's beer?! ;) ) and drier, then an herbal flavor (somewhere between thyme and tarragon), and a light toasty bread crust flavor , close to that of the aroma. Light, pleasant bitterness.
Feel is light , initially smooth , with moderate very, very fine soft-ish carbonation bite.
Overall , really enjoying this one. One of the better beers I've had from The North , and probably the best non-stout that I've tried. At first, because of the label, expecting a session NEIPA , the aroma left me a bit disappointed. Then , as the mental adjustment was made to what it actually is, it grew on me, especially as it warmed. Seems a hybrid of a pale ale & a hefe , and is quite enjoyable as that. I'm tempted to go back for (at least) another 4-pk.
