No dating , but guessing from social media posts that it is 3-4 weeks old.
Deepest, darkest black, with light, (slightly-reddish)-tan head, that leaves some spotty lacing .
Smell is cola, peat, char, cocoa, and slight chocolate liqueur. From the open can, I get a little tootsie roll + yeast.
Taste is charred nuts, cola, unsweetened chocolate, but with less bitterness than is usual for that, and a very slight sour-creme-like tang. Mom used to occasionally make chocolate cake or brownies, that had sour cream in the batter. Very reminiscent of that, but less noticeable in this. Overall, lightly sweet, with light bitterness.
Feel is medium, oily, with light carbonation tingle towards the end.
Overall, an enjoyable non-BA stout. I do wish it had a bit more carbonation.
