The beer pours a cloudy gold color with a slight amber hue along with a beautiful white head that fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a nice pale and rye component along with what seems to be a touch of light Caramel or Aromatic malt. There is sweet smell as well as a definite rye spiciness. The taste is good as well. It has a very smooth pale malt taste with a rye forward character. Again, there is a sweet malt feel, but the finish is definitely all rye. It doesn't compromise and that's what I like about it. The mouthfeel is outstanding. It's a full bodied beer with adequate carbonation. It goes down almost too easy. This is a unique beer and one that I needed time to appreciate. I understand this is a favorite of the owners. I can see why.
