Poured from growler, an oily brown, jet black in the glass showing a bit of dark brown in light. Medium thin fizzy tan head from a vigorous pour. Smells of sweet caramel and bourbon and chocolate. Taste is smooth and sweet, with caramel and chocolate blending smoothly into a wet, clean bourbon flavor. The body is clean but cloying, wrapping around the underside of the back of my tongue. Brewmaster described it as both an oatmeal and a milk stout, that explains the interesting body. Overall delicious! This brewery is 2 for 2 beers I've absolutely loved so far.
