Poured into becker pint glass; translucent dark amber with a medium off-white head that leaves lots of delicate lacing. Smells of bready malts and sweet fruity hops. Taste is sweet, full malt body with sweet fruity hops, with subdued bitterness and a hint of booze. Mouthfeel is fuller and smoother than expected. While not as hoppy as others, it's great to see other imperial amber/red ales. This one may not satisfy hopheads as well as Nugget Nectar, but on its own it's a great red ale.
