A-Black in the glass, one finger tan head, some carbonation.
S-Smokey, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, tad bit of hops.
T-Great balance. The smoke is mild but present. Roasted malt, nice bitterness, chocolate, vanilla and coffee.
M-Medium bodied, creamy, well carbonated.
O-Wow. For a super small brewery this beer was phenomenal. The smoke was not overpowering and added a nice extra layer of flavor.

This is a smoked black IPA.
Poured from freshly filled mini-growler into becker pint glass; absolutely black, it seems to absorb light. Huge thick tight creamy brown head that leaves tons of thick lacing all over the place. Smells of smoke, chocolate and coffee malt with some sweetness, and piney hops at the end blending all together. Taste starts out bitter with coffee and chocolate, moving right into big sweet and smoky flavors with a bitter hop finish. Ends wet and sticky with smoke and bitterness left in the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is big, thick and creamy. Overall an awesome variant for the Dark Ale series...it's like Dweller meets Dark Ale.
