Truffle Belgian Ale
The Original Basil T's

Pours with a fine creamy (and cream colored) head that settles out over clear deep dark...and I do mean dark reddish-bown liquid. Nice roasted malt nose with light fruitiness and a subtle Belgian yeast profile and a hint of the Belgian chocolate used in the brewing of this ale. The taste is light bodied, perhaps a bit too light bodied...a tad thinnish for me but it's not the end of the world, flavors of spicy yeast, bitter chocolate, super roasty barley with a charcoal tone to it. There's some scant malt sweetness in here but not much, and not much in the way of hop bitterness either. The bitterness is all due to the dry and roasty malt. Finishes up with faint fruitiness, then dryness 'til the end. It's actually a nice session beer due to it's 4% alcohol content, but would be much better if it had more of everything amped up a notch or two
