Spiced Apple Wheat

this is the first time i can recall apple being used as an ingredient for brewing so i was anxious to give it a try. the end result was that the apple flaouring and the subtle spices provided a nice kick to a basic wheat ale and make for a different but nice fall seasonal. it pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a thin head. the smell is sweet and fruity (apple, of course) with some spice notes and wheat as well. the flavour starts a bit sweet, moves into some hop and wheat and then finishes a bit sweet again with the apple and spice flavours really the most apparent here. mouthfeel is crisp and bold and pretty much spot on for the style. head into red bank and try this one while you can.
