I've had this aluminum bottle in the fridge for a year... but I think it's actually better than when it was fresh.
A: Pale, pale yellow; fluffy white head, very little retention, but it leaves a nice lace.
S: The ginger isn't too strong, but it overpowers any other aroma. There's a little biscuity malt in the background.
T: Ginger, floral hops, a little earthy-wildness from the yeast (though it's not at all sour or funky), some bready malt.
M: Light body has a creamy silkyness; moderate carbonation (I think it has lost some of its carbonation).
D: Quite good.
I've had their Ambree as well... which didn't seem very Bier de Garde either. Maybe an easy intro to the style?

This poured from the aluminum bottle a light yellow with almost no head.
Smell is like Ginger Ale, with some hints of beer in there somewhere.
Bland, like Ginger Ale with ice after the ice has melted.
Not difficult to drink, not too hard to stomach either, but unfortunately when it comes down to it, this is not a really good brew.

This was terrible. I don't mean to bash, but this is honestly the worst beer I've had. Only beer I've ever poured down the train that hadn't gone bad (at least, I don't think it had).
Poured a pee-yellow with no head. Looks like apple juice. Although the metal bottle looked cool.
Aroma is skunk, ginger (duh), apples, and maybe some salt.
Taste is awful. Overpowering artificial ginger. Basically tastes like ginger Pepsi.
Mouthfeel is thin and acidic, with an unpleasant sickly aftertaste.

Hmm strange. Pours a clear golden, medium and loose white head forms, quickly leaves, some small lace spots. Smell is ginger, honey, citrus, and thats about it, the ginger is very overpowering. Taste is malty, some wheat, honey, light ginger, very weak flavour. Mouthfeel is light bodied, very watery consistency, low carbonation. Not very satisfying, my Orval chalice must feel violated.

A - Clear medium yellow with a wispy head. Constant bubbling.
S - Well... ginger. The whole thing reminds me a lot of ginger ale. Some metallic notes as well.
T - Ginger is there, but is fairly mild. Otherwise, kinda bland.
M - Strong carbonation and a watery feel. Somewhat dry.
D - Nothing offensive. Not great. Reminds me of a macro + ginger.

Brilliant gold colour topped by a thin white head. Strong ginger aroma, reminds me of the pickled ginger you get with sushi, with some malt as well. The flavour is weaker than I expected, ginger is present along with some bitterness and spice in the finish. Quite sweet. Not my favourite flavour combination. Thin body with high carbonation.

Ingredients: Beer, Ginger.
Dont get to specific!
Pours out of the alu bottle a burnished blonde with a smallish head and great lacework. The aroma is of ginger mingling with the sweetness of malt. It reminds me of Canada dry, only more
'beery'. the taste is very gingery and malty. The flavors mingle well. Theres some faint hop notes and yeast fruit in the back. The ginger flavor is strong, though not overpowering. It gives a crisp bite to the finish. The mouthfeel is thick and tangy.
I thought this was going to be a gimmick, and maybe it its, but it tastes good. This beer must be marketed to the Euro Club scene or something, its got trendy packaging and labeling.

I guess this is a "bottle"
This is ginger-flavored light ale. It tastes and smells like ginger. It will give you a buzz. The ginger might even give you a mild pseudephedrine rush, so you can stay up later and drink more. This is not "beer." This is a cocktail. Why not just buy some ginger and chew on it raw while drinking cream ale? That would taste better, offer probotic qualities from the ginger root and it would cost less. What the...?

i found the aluminum bottle and the bottle cap interesting. The first sip was acceptable, after that iit was drinkable only by squeezing in the rest of my lime in the fridge. Its a biere de garde taste, promising pour, but ginger doesn't help it. Tinny taste. Aroma of a ginger beer.

Sexy aluminium bottle. pours clear golden yellow with a moderate white head that settles to a heavy film and gives up reasonably good lace. A pretty beer overall.
Earthy, flowery ginger scent feels heavy on the nose. Noticeable grain in the background.
Dry on the palate. Mild, lingering ginger taste. Slightly sprity, but settles in somewhat heavy. Thin finish.
A number of interesting characteristics that make it worth a try, but in the end not a beer to frequent.

Served in a 330ml aluminum/tin can. Attractive packaging. Pale golden pour with a medium white head. Clear pour, little carbonation. Poopr head retention. The nose obvious, ginger with floral notes. Taste was a little bit grainy. Ginger is present mid to late sip. Ends on a semi sweet note with an odd metallic hint. Ginger mellows out and has a nice lasting taste. Light bodied, some creaminess to the mouthfeel. Easy drinker. You could throw back quite a few of these in a sitting. Why not with sushi? Probably a good match.

Pours an ultra pale straw yellow, with a fizzy white head, but good retention and nice lacing. Full of ginger in the nose, along with some floral notes. Taste was extremely sweet, almost like a ginger ale. Loaded with carbonation. It was a bit too sharp. Not my style of beer, but interesting nonetheless.

Came in the trendoid 33cl Aluminum bottle. Poured into a pilsner flute we see a pale yellow fizzy looking beer woth a small white cap that reduced quickly...some lace. Vegital aromas in the nose, bit of sweetnes and a wisp of ginger spiciness. Vety spritzy palate, light bodied beer with hardly detactable malt...it is hopped well and the finish produces a lemony-ginger burst then a clean end with no after taste. Not bad for its intended market...I suppose probably an upscale, younger, summer patio party, light spritzer drinking throng.

Aluminium bottle: Poured a clear yellowish ale with a medium white foamy head with good retention. Aroma of light ginger with some malt also noticeable. Taste is surprisingly quite weak with some subtle ginger, weak malt and a watery finish. What a disappointment, absolutely boring

Youre young? Youre hip? You need a fancy drink? The brasserie Duyck thought about you. They brew the J ginger and the J absinth and feature them in great-looking bottles reminding me of a rocket.
The head was fine and faded quickly into a half-an-inch collar on transparent golden color. Reconsidering it, the head retention is quite impressive, and the head looks creamier after a while. This is a ginger beer, so the smell shows strong notes of soda, ginger ale, very sweet with some notes of peaches and hints of mountain mushrooms. The taste was more related to ginger in its original form than to ginger ale, which was a nice surprise. It made me think about Japanese food, until I realized it was for the ginger So this is flowery, like having some ginger melting in the mouth, but it also shows a lightly hoppy finish that I didnt expect in this new cool beer. Some notes of honey and pine, and hints of roasted pork, for some reason. I think it has some similarities with Desperados, another cool beer made for those who dont like beer, but its still more a beer than Desperados. This is overly sweet, but I guess thats what it was supposed to be. Considering the objectives of the product, I think its a success: some people who think or say that they dont like beer will taste this and like it. Not sure theyll get out and get into microbrews after though.
