Copenhagen 1/3 2020. 33 cl bottle from Brdr. D's Vinhandel, Østerbrogade, Kbh. Ø. Bottle is black and matte simple label in Jenlain's usual design with a light blue border.
Pours almost clear, golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of fluffy foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense, malty sweet with a lighter sharp citric odor. Sweet pale malts, sweet fruits in a state of light decay. Bile - perhaps a touch of butanoic acid. Citrus.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively texture.
Flavor has a rather strong sweetness. Followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for bit. Semi-dry finish.
Not much India Pale Ale over this French brew. Reminds me more of a Golden Ale. A tad too sweet even when I take that into account.
